Microsoft has finally released an official version of their Facebook for Windows Mobile 6.

Although a leaked (and remarkably stable) beta version has been out in the wild for months now, Microsoft bit the bullet and made available version 1.007 1.007p(*) as a free download for all Windows Mobile users.

(*) Updated version is now signed and has a few bugfixes. 

You’ll find all major Facebook functionality in an easy to use interface. An exciting new feature is the integrated upload of existing and live captured photos and videos!

But there is a big part of users that are not on the road all day, and for those desk-sitters Celio has created a nice alternative: the RedFly Mobile Viewer software. Nebo has released a handy little tool to adjust the desktop wallpaper on your Windows Mobile device after you've enabled or disabled the RealVGA 96dpi (320x320) hack. You can of course fix this manually in the registry, but a little tool is so much handier. It's called Nebo DPI Setter and you can find it here, it's a free download.

Microsoft is once again rebranding the whole Windows Mobile family (remember Pocket PC?), and now commonly refers to the Windows Phone experience.
